Mujer acusada de atropellar a su novio y amenazarlo con un arma de fuego

(LPL/WREG) – Una mujer, acusada de atropellar a su novio con su automóvil antes de sacar un arma de fuego y amenazar con matarlo, se encuentra ahora en la cárcel.

Candy Thomas, de 42 años, enfrenta cargos por intento de asesinato en primer grado, agresión doméstica con lesiones corporales y agresión agravada.

El 31 de mayo, poco después de las 11:00 a. m., los agentes informaron haber respondido a una llamada por agresión agravada y violencia doméstica en la cuadra 100 de North Manassas Street, a la altura del establecimiento Manassas Market and Deli.

La víctima relató a la policía que su novia lo siguió hasta ese lugar e intentó atropellarlo con su vehículo en dos ocasiones, derribándolo al suelo.

La policía indicó que la víctima sufrió una lesión en el codo.

Asimismo, la víctima declaró a la policía que su novia sacó un arma de fuego de color negro del maletero del vehículo, le apuntó con ella y lo amenazó.

Se le acusa de haber seguido a la víctima hasta que la policía la interceptó en Adams Street, lugar donde fue detenida.

Un testigo presente en el lugar de los hechos declaró a la policía haber visto a la sospechosa atropellar a la víctima con un vehículo Lexus de color blanco, para luego sacar un arma del maletero y decirle a la víctima: “Voy a matarte, hijo de p***”.

Candy Thomas fue identificada de manera positiva, mediante una rueda de reconocimiento fotográfico con seis personas, como la responsable de la agresión.

Thomas deberá comparecer ante el tribunal el lunes por la mañana. Aún no se ha fijado el monto de su fianza.

Woman accused of hitting boyfriend with car, threatening him with gun

(LPL/WREG) – A woman accused of hitting her boyfriend with her car before pulling a gun out, threatening to kill him, is now in jail.

Candy Thomas, 42, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, domestic assault-bodily harm, and aggravated assault.

On May 31, a little after 11 a.m., officers say they responded to an aggravated assault/domestic violence call in the 100 block of North Manassas Street at the Manassas Market and Deli.

The victim told police that his girlfriend followed him to that location and attempted to strike him with her vehicle twice, knocking him to the ground.

Police say his elbow was injured.

The victim also told police that his girlfriend got a black firearm from the trunk, pointed it at him, and threatened him.

She is accused of following the victim until the police stopped her on Adams Street, where she was taken into custody.

A witness on the scene told police that they saw the female suspect hit the victim with a white Lexus before getting a gun from her trunk, and telling the victim, “I’m going to kill your m a**.”

Candy Thomas was positively identified in a six-person photo lineup as the person responsible for the assault.

Thomas is due in court on Monday morning. Her bond has yet to be set.
