(LPL) – Un hombre murió la madrugada del martes tras un robo que derivó en un tiroteo en una gasolinera de Lakeland, informaron las autoridades del condado de Shelby.

(LPL) – A man died early Tuesday morning following a robbery that resulted in a shooting at a gas station in Lakeland, according to Shelby County authorities.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), deputies responded around 3:12 a.m. to a report of a robbery and shots fired at the Exxon station located at 3548 Canada Road, near Interstate 40. Upon arrival, they found a man with gunshot wounds outside the establishment.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Authorities identified him as a suspect in the robbery, although it has not been publicly determined who fired the shots or the specific circumstances that led to the confrontation.
