TMZ afirma que una nueva nota sostiene que Nancy Guthrie fue llevada a México por secuestradores

(LPL/WMC) – TMZ declaró haber recibido dos nuevos mensajes relacionados con el caso de Nancy Guthrie, en los que se alegaba que la mujer de 84 años —madre de la presentadora del programa “Today”, Savannah Guthrie— había sido llevada a México por secuestradores.

Los nuevos mensajes, recibidos por TMZ el lunes, provienen de la misma persona que contactó inicialmente a este medio sensacionalista en febrero. En aquella ocasión, dicha persona exigió un bitcoin a cambio de información sobre la desaparición de Nancy Guthrie.

Actualmente, un bitcoin tiene un valor aproximado de 69.000 dólares.
TMZ informa que, en uno de los mensajes, la persona afirmó haber visto a Nancy Guthrie con vida junto a sus presuntos secuestradores en el estado mexicano de Sonora, el cual comparte frontera con parte de Arizona.

Sin embargo, en otro mensaje, la misma persona aseguró que la mujer de 84 años ha fallecido.

TMZ indicó que remitió el primer mensaje al FBI, aunque no está claro si este es legítimo.

Los mensajes llegaron el mismo día en que Savannah Guthrie regresó al programa “Today” por primera vez en más de dos meses. En una entrevista concedida el mes pasado, ella relató que tanto ella como sus hermanos respondieron a dos mensajes de rescate —que consideraron auténticos— y se ofrecieron a pagar.

La familia ha ofrecido una recompensa de un millón de dólares a cambio de información que conduzca a la recuperación de Nancy Guthrie. Las autoridades sospechan que la mujer de 84 años fue sacada de su domicilio en Arizona en contra de su voluntad. Su desaparición fue reportada el 1 de febrero.

TMZ said it received two new messages related to the Nancy Guthrie case that claimed the 84-year-old mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie was taken by kidnappers to Mexico.

The new messages, which were received by TMZ on Monday, are from the same person who initially contacted the tabloid news organization in February. At that time, they demanded one bitcoin in exchange for information about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

One bitcoin is currently worth about $69,000.
TMZ reports the person claimed in one message that they saw Nancy Guthrie alive with her alleged kidnappers in the Mexican state of Sonora, which borders parts of Arizona.

However, the person said in another message that the 84-year-old is dead.

TMZ said it forwarded the first message to the FBI, but it is unclear whether it is legitimate.

The messages came the same day Savannah Guthrie returned to the “Today” show for the first time in more than two months. In an interview last month, she said she and her siblings responded to two ransom messages that they believed were real and offered to pay.

The family has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie. Authorities believe the 84-year-old was taken against her will from her Arizona home. She was reported missing Feb. 1.
