Varios hombres sometieron a una mujer y le robaron el auto en una gasolinera de Parkway Village, en la Knight Arnold

(LPL) – Una mujer fue víctima de un robo y carjacking a punta de pistola la noche del jueves en una gasolinera del área de Parkway Village, informó el Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD).

El incidente ocurrió alrededor de las 11 p.m. en la gasolinera Express Mart, ubicada en el 4002 de Knight Arnold Road, cerca de la intersección con Watson Street. Según el reporte policial, la víctima se encontraba estacionada en una de las bombas de gasolina esperando a su hijo, quien estaba dentro de la tienda, cuando fue abordada por dos hombres armados.

De acuerdo con la declaración de la víctima, los sospechosos se colocaron a ambos lados del vehículo, uno en la ventana del conductor y el otro en la del pasajero, apuntándole con armas de fuego directamente a la cabeza mientras le gritaban que saliera del automóvil. Uno de los hombres llevaba un pasamontañas.

Los asaltantes le robaron las llaves del vehículo, su teléfono celular y una bolsa de mano color café que contenía varias tarjetas de crédito y débito. Posteriormente, uno de los sospechosos huyó en el vehículo de la víctima, mientras que el otro escapó en un sedán rojo de cuatro puertas, posiblemente un Toyota, que se dirigió hacia el oeste por Knight Arnold Road en dirección a Lamar Avenue.

Minutos más tarde, la policía localizó el vehículo de la víctima estacionado en Willow Wyck Drive, cerca de un complejo de apartamentos, a menos de un minuto de la gasolinera. El automóvil fue encontrado junto a un Toyota rojo de cuatro puertas que presuntamente fue utilizado durante el crimen. Las autoridades confirmaron que dicho Toyota también había sido reportado como robado y que sus propietarios ya fueron notificados.

Además, un testigo informó haber visto a una mujer cerca de su vivienda saliendo del área donde se encontraban los vehículos. Según MPD, se logró tomar una fotografía de esta persona como parte de la investigación.

Three men assaulted a woman and stole her car at a gas station in Parkway Village, on Knight Arnold

(LPL/CNN) – A woman was the victim of an armed robbery and carjacking Thursday night at a gas station in the Parkway Village area, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. at the Express Mart gas station located at 4002 Knight Arnold Road, near the intersection with Watson Street. Police say the victim was parked at one of the gas pumps waiting for her son, who was inside the store, when she was approached by two armed men.

According to the victim’s statement, the suspects positioned themselves on both sides of the vehicle—one at the driver’s side window and the other at the passenger’s side—pointing handguns directly at her head while yelling at her to get out of the car. One of the suspects was wearing a ski mask.

The suspects stole the victim’s car keys, cellphone, and a brown purse containing several credit and debit cards. One suspect then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, while the second suspect escaped in a red four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota, traveling westbound on Knight Arnold Road toward Lamar Avenue.

Minutes later, officers located the victim’s vehicle parked on Willow Wyck Drive near an apartment complex, less than a minute away from the gas station. The vehicle was found parked next to a red four-door Toyota believed to have been used in the crime. Police confirmed that the Toyota had also been reported stolen and that its owners were notified.

A witness told police they saw a woman near their home leaving the area where the vehicles were parked. According to MPD, a photograph of the woman was taken as part of the investigation.
