Arrestan a hombre en Covington tras hallazgo de video de abuso sexual a niño de 3 años

(LPL) – Un hombre de 22 años fue arrestado en Covington luego de que investigadores encontraran en su teléfono celular un video en el que presuntamente abusa sexualmente de un niño de apenas 3 años, informaron autoridades.

De acuerdo con el Departamento de Policía de Covington, el hallazgo ocurrió durante una investigación iniciada el lunes por un caso separado. Tras ser detenido y llevado a la División de Investigaciones Criminales, el sospechoso, identificado como Deondre Dyson, permitió a los agentes revisar su dispositivo móvil. Fue entonces cuando los detectives localizaron el material que dio un giro crítico al caso.

Las autoridades indicaron que el video habría sido grabado en una vivienda del Lauderdale County. Tras confirmar la naturaleza del contenido, la policía notificó de inmediato a la Oficina del Sheriff de ese condado, que abrió una investigación por abuso sexual infantil.

Man Arrested in Covington Following Discovery of Video Depicting Sexual Abuse of 3-Year-Old Child

(LPL) – A 22-year-old man was arrested in Covington after investigators discovered a video on his cell phone in which he allegedly sexually abuses a child just 3 years old, authorities reported.

According to the Covington Police Department, the discovery occurred during an investigation initiated on Monday regarding a separate case. After being detained and taken to the Criminal Investigations Division, the suspect—identified as Deondre Dyson—allowed officers to examine his mobile device. It was then that detectives located the material that took a critical turn in the case.

Authorities indicated that the video was allegedly recorded at a residence in Lauderdale County. After confirming the nature of the content, the police immediately notified that county’s Sheriff’s Office, which opened an investigation into child sexual abuse.

According to the police, Dyson allegedly admitted to his involvement in the acts captured in the video. The suspect was transported to the Tipton County Jail, where he remains in custody.

At this time, he faces charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, and authorities anticipate that additional charges may be filed as the investigation proceeds in coordination with other agencies, including the Department of Children’s Services.
