Mujer resulta herida tras pelea que escaló a tiroteo en el sureste de la ciudad

(LPL) – Una mujer fue hospitalizada la noche del lunes tras resultar herida en un tiroteo ocurrido en el sureste del condado de Shelby, luego de una pelea que escaló a violencia armada, según informó la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Shelby.

De acuerdo con las autoridades, los agentes respondieron inicialmente a una llamada por una pelea cerca de Ross Road y Walter Forest Cove, alrededor de las 6:30 p.m. Mientras las unidades se dirigían al lugar, la llamada fue actualizada a un reporte de tiroteo.

Al llegar, los agentes encontraron evidencia del incidente y confirmaron que una mujer había resultado herida durante el altercado. La víctima fue trasladada a un hospital del área para recibir atención médica. Hasta el momento no se ha informado sobre su condición actual.

La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Shelby indicó que la investigación continúa activa y que, por ahora, no se han realizado arrestos ni se han dado a conocer sospechosos. Tampoco se ha confirmado el número de personas involucradas en la pelea ni las circunstancias exactas que provocaron la escalada de violencia.

El área fue asegurada mientras los investigadores trabajaban en la recolección de evidencia y entrevistas a testigos que se encontraban cerca de la escena.

Woman injured after fight escalates into shooting in Southeast Memphis

(LPL) – A woman was hospitalized Monday night after being wounded in a shooting in southeastern Shelby County, following a fight that escalated into gun violence, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reported.

According to authorities, deputies initially responded to a call regarding a fight near Ross Road and Walter Forest Cove around 6:30 p.m. While units were en route, the call was updated to a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies found evidence of the incident and confirmed that a woman had been injured during the altercation. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Her current condition has not yet been disclosed.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation is ongoing and that, as of now, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified. The number of people involved in the fight and the exact circumstances that led to the escalation of violence have not yet been confirmed.

The area was secured while investigators worked to collect evidence and interview witnesses near the scene.

Authorities reiterated their call for the community to provide any information that might help clarify the case.
