(LPL/FOX13) – Un niño de 9 años fue atropellado por un coche el domingo por la noche mientras montaba en bicicleta, según informó la policía.
La Policía de Memphis (MPD) informó que el incidente ocurrió en los apartamentos Greenbriar en Madewell Drive.
La policía indicó que el conductor del coche que atropelló al niño se había dado a la fuga cuando los agentes llegaron al lugar. La madre del niño declaró a los investigadores que su hijo iba en bicicleta por el complejo de apartamentos cuando un coche lo atropelló.
La madre también declaró al MPD que los frenos de la bicicleta del niño no funcionaban, y añadió que la conductora se bajó del coche para ver cómo estaba su hijo, pero no le dieron información.
El niño fue trasladado al Hospital Infantil Le Bonheur y se espera que se recupere.

(LPL/FOX13) – A 9-year-old boy was struck by a car Sunday night while he was riding his bike, police said.
Memphis Police (MPD) said it happened at Greenbriar Apartments on Madewell Drive.
Police said the driver of the car that had hit the boy left by the time officers arrived to the scene. The boy’s mother told investigators that her son was riding his bike in the apartment complex when a car crashed into the boy.
The mother also told MPD that the brakes on the boy’s bike does not work, adding that driver got of her car to check on her son but she did not get her information.
The boy was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and expected to be OK.
