Dos personas resultaron gravemente heridas en accidente automovilístico este miércoles en Millbranch y Winchester Road

(LPL/WREG) – Dos personas resultaron gravemente heridas tras un accidente automovilístico ocurrido durante la noche en Whitehaven, según confirmó la Policía de Memphis.

Alrededor de la 1 a. m., los agentes informaron haber recibido una llamada a un accidente automovilístico en Millbranch y Winchester Road.

Uno de los conductores involucrados en el accidente declaró a la policía que conducía el Lexus y giraba a la izquierda en Millbranch cuando un Ford Taurus se saltó un semáforo y lo impactó.

Una testigo en el lugar de los hechos también declaró a la policía que vio el Ford Taurus acelerando cuando impactó al Lexus. Añadió que cuatro personas salieron del Taurus y se marcharon.

Dos pasajeros del Lexus resultaron heridos. La policía informó que ambos fueron trasladados al Hospital Regional One en estado crítico.

Mientras los agentes trabajaban en el lugar de los hechos, un hombre se les acercó y afirmó ser el conductor del Ford Taurus. La policía informó que no tenía lesiones.

Cuando los agentes le preguntaron por los otros tres pasajeros que viajaban en el Taurus, el hombre les dijo que era el único en el vehículo. El conductor del Lexus recibió una multa por no tener licencia de conducir estatal, responsabilidad financiera, matrícula estatal incorrecta y no ceder el paso en la intersección.

2 critically injured in car crash on Millbranch, Winchester Road

(LPL/WREG) – Two people were left critically injured after an overnight car crash in Whitehaven, Memphis Police confirm.

Around 1 a.m., officers say they were called to a car crash on Millbranch Road and Winchester Road.

One of the drivers involved in the crash told police he was driving the Lexus and making a left turn on Millbranch when a Ford Taurus ran the light and hit him.

A witness at the scene also told police she saw the Ford Taurus speeding when it hit the Lexus. She says four people got out of the Taurus and left.

Two passengers in the Lexus were found suffering from injuries. Police say they were both taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

While officers were working the scene, they say a man approached them and claimed he was the driver of the Ford Taurus. Police say he had no injuries.

When officers asked him about the other three passengers who were in the Taurus, the man told them he was the only one in the vehicle.

The driver of the Lexus was issued a citation for no state driver’s license, financial responsibility, improper state registration, and failing to yield intersection.
