Tiroteos nocturnos en la ciudad dejan saldo de dos víctimas fatales

(LPL) – Dos personas murieron en hechos de violencia armada ocurridos en distintos puntos de Memphis en un lapso de menos de seis horas, según confirmaron las autoridades locales.

El primer tiroteo se registró el miércoles por la noche en el complejo City Place at Germantown Apartments en el área de Windyke, en el suroeste de la ciudad. Al llegar al lugar, oficiales encontraron a una mujer que había recibido varios disparos. Fue declarada muerta en la escena. Dos hombres fueron detenidos para ser entrevistados en relación con el caso. La investigación sigue en curso y no se han presentado cargos formales hasta el momento.

Horas después, en la madrugada del jueves, la Policía respondió a reportes de disparos al norte de la ciudad, cerca de Pope Street y Heard Avenue. Una mujer fue hallada con heridas de bala y trasladada al hospital en estado crítico, pero posteriormente se confirmó su fallecimiento. En este caso, aún no se han realizado arrestos y las autoridades continúan recabando información.

Ambos incidentes ocurrieron en zonas diferentes de la ciudad y, por ahora, no hay indicios de que estén relacionados. La Policía de Memphis ha solicitado la colaboración del público y ofrece recompensas a quienes puedan brindar información útil a través de CrimeStoppers al 901-528-CASH.

Nighttime shootings in the city leave two dead

(LPL) – Two people died in gun violence that occurred in different parts of Memphis within a span of less than six hours, local authorities confirmed.

The first shooting occurred Wednesday night at the City Place at Germantown Apartments complex in the Windyke area, southwest of the city. Upon arrival, officers found a woman who had been shot multiple times. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Two men were detained for interviews in connection with the case. The investigation is ongoing, and no formal charges have been filed.

Hours later, early Thursday morning, police responded to reports of shots fired in the north end of the city, near Pope Street and Heard Avenue. A woman was found with gunshot wounds and taken to the hospital in critical condition, but she was later confirmed dead. In this case, no arrests have yet been made, and authorities continue to gather information.

Both incidents occurred in different areas of the city, and, at this time, there is no indication that they are related. Memphis Police have asked for the public’s assistance and are offering rewards for information through CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
