Disputa domestica termina con una mujer tiroteada en apartamentos Centennial Gardens

(LPL) – Una mujer murió la noche del lunes tras ser baleada en un complejo de apartamentos del sureste del condado de Shelby, en un caso que las autoridades investigan como homicidio.

De acuerdo con la Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, el tiroteo ocurrió alrededor de las 6:15 p.m. en el bloque 7800 de Capital Peak Lane East, dentro del complejo Centennial Gardens Apartments. Los primeros reportes indican que dos mujeres estaban involucradas en una disputa doméstica en el estacionamiento del lugar cuando se produjeron los disparos.

Las autoridades informaron que, tras el tiroteo, un hombre trasladó a la víctima al hospital Methodist Germantown Hospital, donde posteriormente fue declarada muerta por personal médico. La oficina del sheriff señaló que una mujer fue detenida en la escena y que la investigación continúa.

Posteriormente, la oficina del sheriff confirmó el arresto de la presunta agresora. Se trata de Jasmine Schreane, de 33 años, quien enfrenta múltiples cargos, entre ellos asesinato en primer grado y tentativa de asesinato en primer grado. According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. in the 7800 block of Capital Peak Lane East at the Centennial Gardens Apartments. Investigators said two women were involved in an apparent domestic dispute in the parking lot when gunfire erupted.

Authorities said a man drove the victim to Methodist Germantown Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead by hospital staff. Deputies detained a woman at the scene shortly after the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The sheriff’s office later confirmed the arrest of the suspected shooter. Jasmine Schreane, 33, has been charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. Officials said the incident occurred at the apartment complex near Hacks Cross Road and Highway 385, where the two women were arguing before the shooting.

Witnesses told local media they heard yelling followed by what sounded like gunshots and then a car speeding away from the complex. Several vehicles were reportedly damaged, and deputies recovered spent shell casings at the scene.
