(LPL) – Two men died in separate incidents reported during Easter Sunday night in Memphis, according to information from the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
The first case occurred shortly before 11:50 p.m. in the Fox Meadows neighborhood. Officers responded to a report of a shooting on Hickory Point Lane, near Mt. Moriah Road Extended, where they found a man dead from gunshot wounds. Investigators indicated that, preliminarily, the assailant and the victim knew each other. No further details have been released.
Hours later—in the early hours of Monday morning—another man was found dead at an apartment complex in the Nutbush area, in the 3800 block of Jackson Avenue. Police arrived around 1:30 a.m. after receiving a report from a woman who expressed concern because she had not heard from a loved one.
Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the individual had passed away. Although authorities have not officially determined the cause of death, they noted that no signs of violence were observed at the scene.
