Hombre incendia el auto de su esposa con ella dentro

(LPL/WREG) – Un hombre de Memphis fue acusado de intento de homicidio en segundo grado por presuntamente inducir a alguien a incendiar el auto de su esposa mientras ella estaba dentro.

Travis Davison, de 44 años, ingresó en la Cárcel del Condado de Shelby el lunes, más de una semana después del presunto ataque ocurrido en la cuadra 800 de N. Second Street.
La víctima declaró que se encontraba dentro de un Chevrolet Camaro plateado estacionado en N. Second Street cuando notó una camioneta plateada, un BMW negro y un sedán dorado estacionados frente a su vehículo.

La mujer afirmó haber escuchado una conversación a viva voz proveniente del Bluetooth conectado al BMW.
La víctima afirmó haber escuchado una voz masculina que reconoció como la de su esposo, quien le dijo a la persona en la camioneta plateada: “¡Enciende esa p***!”, y vio a alguien salir de la camioneta.

La víctima también declaró haber escuchado una voz femenina que le decía al hombre que salió de la camioneta que el vehículo era un Camaro plateado. Dijo que vio al hombre verter gasolina por todo su auto y que empezó a salir a rastras por la ventana del copiloto.

La víctima declaró a los investigadores que hizo contacto visual con el hombre que vertía la gasolina, pero aun así, este prendió fuego al auto.

Todo ocurrió frente a un edificio de apartamentos. La mujer involucrada logró escapar.

Una vecina, que prefirió permanecer en el anonimato, llegó después de que el Camaro fuera incendiado y logró grabar el video del auto con su celular. Dijo que la víctima ya estaba fuera del auto pidiendo ayuda.
“Mi hija y yo saltamos del auto, y ella dijo: ‘Que alguien llame al 911′”, dijo la mujer. “La policía llegó antes que los bomberos, y la oí decir algo sobre su esposo”.
Dijo que su hija temía que el auto explotara, pero los bomberos lograron apagar el incendio rápidamente.

“En el auto de la huida, alguien se subió al asiento trasero y dejó el bidón de gasolina”, dijo.

La víctima declaró a los detectives que lleva casada con Davison casi seis años, que conoce bien su voz y que la reconoció de inmediato por el altavoz del coche.
Davison también fue acusado de intento de imprudencia temeraria con arma mortal. Hasta el momento, es la única persona arrestada en relación con el caso.

Man sets wife’s car on fire with her inside

(LPL/WREG) – A Memphis man had been charged with attempted second-degree murder for allegedly getting someone to set his wife’s car on fire while she was sitting in the vehicle.

Travis Davison, 44, was booked in the Shelby County Jail on Monday, more than a week after the alleged attack in the 800 block of N. Second Street.
The victim said she was inside a silver Chevrolet Camaro parked on N. Second Street when she noticed a silver SUV, a black BMW, and a gold sedan all parking in front of her vehicle.

The woman said she was able to hear a loud conversation coming from the Bluetooth connected to the BMW.
The victim said she heard a male voice she recognized as her husband instruct the person in the silver SUV to “light that b**** up!” and saw someone exit the SUV.

The victim said she also heard a female voice telling the man who got out of the SUV that the vehicle was a silver Camaro.
She said she saw the man pour gasoline all over her car and began to crawl out of the passenger side window.

The victim told investigators she made eye contact with the man pouring the gasoline, but he still set the car on fire.

It all happened in front of an apartment building. The woman involved was able to escape.

One neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous, arrived after the Camaro was set on fire and was able to capture video of the car on her cell phone. She said the victim was already out of the car and asking for help.
“My daughter and I jumped out of our car, and she was like, somebody call 911,” said the woman. “Police were here before the fire department, and I heard her saying something about her husband.”
She said her daughter was afraid the car was going to explode, but firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze.

“The getaway car, someone jumped in the back seat, and they left the gas can behind,” she said.

The victim told detectives she has been married to Davison for nearly six years, knows his voice well, and immediately recognized it coming from the car’s speaker.
Davison was also charged with attempted reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Right now, he is the only person who has been arrested in connection with the case.
