Identifican en documentos al sospechoso del caso de agresión sexual en St. George’s

(LPL/WREG) – Una orden de allanamiento ejecutada en Olive Branch identifica al sospechoso y proporciona detalles sobre una presunta agresión sexual en la Escuela Independiente St. George’s en Collierville.

Bryant Swing Jr., de 18 años, figura como el sospechoso en los documentos.

Según detectives del Departamento de Policía de Olive Branch, la presunta víctima, una menor de 18 años, declaró que otra persona la obligó a reunirse con Swing en un pasillo trasero del gimnasio de la escuela el 8 de octubre, entre las 5:30 y las 7 p.m.

La víctima afirmó que Swing la llevó a una oficina vacía e intentó obligarla a practicarle sexo oral en contra de su voluntad. También declaró que Swing intentó quitarle la ropa y que creía que había otros estudiantes afuera vigilando.

Swing “sacó su teléfono y comenzó a programar temporizadores, tratando de convencer a la víctima de que realizara el acto durante el tiempo que él había fijado”, declaró la víctima a la policía.

Cuando pudo salir de la oficina, afirma haber visto a dos hombres aplaudiendo en el pasillo, frente a la oficina del entrenador.

Los investigadores indicaron que las cámaras de vigilancia muestran a la víctima resistiéndose pasivamente a Swing y negando con la cabeza antes de dirigirse a la oficina con él. Añadieron que el video también mostraba al menos a otros tres hombres cerca de la oficina antes y después del incidente, y que creían tener evidencia electrónica sobre lo sucedido.

Posteriormente, se realizó un allanamiento en la casa de Swing Jr. y su madre en Olive Branch. La policía declaró que buscaban fotografías, videos u otra evidencia digital relacionada con el presunto delito.

Según un informe policial, la policía de Olive Branch acudió al domicilio de Swing para obtener un teléfono celular, pero les entregaron uno equivocado.

La policía declaró que regresaron al día siguiente con una orden judicial y encontraron tres iPhones, dos teléfonos Motorola, una MacBook, una computadora portátil Lenovo, un Apple Watch y una funda para teléfono. Indicaron que uno de los teléfonos celulares era un iPhone que parecía haber sido dañado intencionalmente, con la parte frontal separada de la trasera.

Los detectives afirmaron haber encontrado también marihuana sobre un armario encima del refrigerador.

Swing Jr. fue arrestado en Olive Branch y acusado de manipulación de pruebas. No se le han imputado cargos de agresión sexual. Los registros muestran que fue puesto en libertad bajo fianza el martes por un monto de $20,000.

Su madre, Nakesha Rockette, también fue arrestada por obstrucción a la justicia en primer grado, conspiración para cometer un delito grave y complicidad posterior al hecho.

El padre de Swing, Bryant Swing Sr., fue ingresado en la cárcel del condado de DeSoto por cargos de drogas no relacionados con el caso.

Suspect in St. George’s sex assault case identified in documents

(LPL/WREG) – A search warrant executed in Olive Branch identifies the suspect and provides details on an alleged sexual assault at St. George’s Independent School in Collierville.

Bryant Swing Jr., 18, is named as the suspect in the documents.

According to detectives with the Olive Branch Police Department, the alleged victim, a girl under 18, said another person coerced her to meet Swing in a back hallway at the school’s fieldhouse on Oct. 8, sometime between 5:30 and 7 p.m.
She said Swing pulled her into an unoccupied office and attempted to coerce her to perform oral sex against her will. The victim also said Swing attempted to remove her clothes, and she believed there were other students outside acting as lookouts.
Swing “pulled out his phone and began setting timers, trying to convince the victim to perform the act for the time he set,” the victim told police.

When she was able to leave the office, she says she saw two males clapping in the hallway outside the coach’s office.
Investigators said surveillance shows the victim passively resisting Swing and shaking her head no before walking toward the office with Swing. They said the video also showed at least three other males near the office before and after the incident, and they believed they had electronic evidence regarding what happened.
A search was later conducted at the Olive Branch home of Swing Jr. and his mother. Police said they were looking for pictures, videos, or other digital evidence related to the alleged crime.

According to an incident report, Olive Branch Police went to Swing’s home to obtain a cell phone, but were given the wrong one.
Police said they returned the next day with a warrant and located three iPhones, two Motorola phones, one MacBook, one Lenovo laptop, an Apple Watch, and a phone case. They said one of the cell phones was an iPhone that appeared to have been intentionally damaged, with the front half pulled away from the back half.
Detectives said they also found marijuana on top of a cabinet above the refrigerator.

Swing Jr. was arrested in Olive Branch and charged with tampering with evidence. He has not been charged with sexual assault. Records show he was bonded out on Tuesday for $20,000.

His mother, Nakesha Rockette, was also arrested on a charge of hindering the prosecution in the first degree and conspiracy to commit a crime, felony, and accessory after the fact.
Swing’s father, Bryant Swing Sr., was booked in the Desoto County Jail on unrelated drug charges.
Last week, Collierville Police said a second victim came forward on Nov. 11, reporting a sexual assault that allegedly happened Sept. 12, and they were actively investigating the second report.
Wednesday, Collierville police said two more students attending St. George’s Independent School are currently being investigated following the two sexual assaults reported at the school’s campus, according to the Collierville Police Department.
St. George’s Independent School released this statement to parents on Thursday:
