Invitan a la comunidad inmigrante de Memphis a celebrar la unidad en el evento “Joy is Resistance”

(LPL) – Diversas organizaciones comunitarias del oeste de Tennessee invitan a la comunidad inmigrante y al público en general a participar en “Joy is Resistance”, un evento que busca celebrar la diversidad, la fortaleza y la unidad de las comunidades mientras se reflexiona sobre los desafíos que enfrentan.

La celebración se llevará a cabo este martes 28 de julio, de 5:30 p.m. a 7:30 p.m., en un lugar de Memphis que será revelado únicamente a las personas que se registren previamente.

Los organizadores informaron que el evento incluirá música, comida, actividades para toda la familia y espacios de convivencia, además de oportunidades para compartir experiencias y fortalecer los lazos entre las distintas comunidades que forman parte del Medio Sur.

La iniciativa es organizada por el Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) en colaboración con varias organizaciones locales, entre ellas The Equity Alliance, API Memphis, MICAH, Memphis for All, American Muslim Advisory Committee (AMAC), Votes for All y Vecindarios901.

De acuerdo con los organizadores, el objetivo es reunir a personas de diferentes orígenes, culturas y generaciones para celebrar la resiliencia de las comunidades inmigrantes y promover la participación comunitaria.

Memphis Immigrant Community Invited to Celebrate Unity at “Joy is Resistance” Event

(LPL) – Various community organizations in West Tennessee are inviting the immigrant community and the general public to participate in “Joy is Resistance,” an event that seeks to celebrate the diversity, strength, and unity of communities while reflecting on the challenges they face.

The celebration will take place this Tuesday, July 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at a Memphis location that will be revealed only to those who register in advance.

Organizers stated that the event will feature music, food, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for socializing, as well as chances to share experiences and strengthen ties among the various communities that make up the Mid-South.
