Maestra de secundaria de Memphis acusada de delito sexual infantil es arrestada nuevamente por acoso

(LPL/WREG) – Una maestra de secundaria de Memphis, acusada de entregarle a uno de sus estudiantes un iPad con imágenes y videos de ella desnuda, enfrenta un nuevo cargo tras ser arrestada nuevamente el lunes.

Kelsey Jeanae Whitmore, de 29 años, enfrenta cargos de acoso agravado, según el sistema de justicia penal.
La policía afirma que, tras el arresto de Whitmore el 13 de febrero, examinaron su teléfono, el cual reveló mensajes de texto entre ella y otra joven de 14 años.

Esto ocurre después de que fuera acusada de explotación sexual de un menor y explotación sexual de un menor por medios electrónicos, y fuera liberada bajo fianza de $75,000 el mes pasado. La acusación incluía condiciones específicas que le prohibían “acosar, molestar, llamar por teléfono, contactar o comunicarse de cualquier otra manera con la presunta víctima, ya sea directa o indirectamente”.

El 2 de marzo, los investigadores afirman haber hablado con la víctima de 14 años, a quien presuntamente le envió mensajes de texto. El menor declaró que el 26 de febrero, mientras estaba en la escuela, Whitmore le preguntó si quería vivir con ella una vez finalizado el juicio.
Whitmore compareció ante el tribunal el miércoles y ahora debe pagar una fianza de 2500 dólares por el caso de acoso agravado.

“No hay mucha información, pero por lo que hemos podido recopilar, este no es un caso de acoso sexual infantil. Se trata de una educadora que estaba sumamente preocupada por el bienestar de uno de los estudiantes con los que ha trabajado”, declaró el abogado defensor de Whitmore, Kevin Massey.
Su fecha de comparecencia preliminar ante el tribunal se ha fijado para el 10 de abril.

El 9 de febrero, una madre denunció haber encontrado imágenes y vídeos de Whitmore desnudo en un iPad que le habían dado a su hijo. La madre afirma creer que Whitmore estaba manipulando a su hijo.

El 13 de febrero, Whitmore fue interrogada y declaró que le había dado su iPad al niño en octubre de 2025 y confirmó que se había tomado las fotos y los videos.

MSCS teacher charged with child sex crime re-arrested for stalking

(LPL/WREG) – A Memphis middle school teacher accused of giving one of her students an iPad with nude images and videos of herself is facing a new charge after being re-arrested on Monday.

Kelsey Jeanae Whitmore, 29, is now being charged with aggravated stalking, according to the criminal justice system.
Police say that after Whitmore was arrested on Feb. 13, they examined her phone, which revealed text messages between her and another 14-year-old.
This comes after she was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means and released on $75,000 bond last month. It came with specific conditions prohibiting her from “harassing, annoying, telephoning, contacting, or otherwise communicating with the alleged victim, either directly or indirectly.”

On March 2, investigators say they spoke with the 14-year-old victim, who she allegedly sent text messages to. The child said on February 26, while he was at school, Whitmore asked him if he wanted to live with her after the court case was over.
Whitmore appeared in court on Wednesday and must now pay a bond of $2,500 for the aggravated stalking case.

She was employed at Sherwood Middle School as a permit teacher beginning August 4 last year, Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) said. She was placed on administrative leave on February 9.
“There’s not a lot of information, but from what we have been able to gather, this is not some sort of case of grooming or sexually harassing a child. This is an educator who was extremely concerned about the welfare of one of the students that she’s worked with,” said Whitmore’s Defense Attorney, Kevin Massey.
Her preliminary court date has been set for April 10.
On February 9, a mother reported that she found nude images and videos of Whitmore on an iPad given to her son. The mother says she believes Whitmore was grooming her son.

On February 13, Whitmore was taken in for questioning and provided a statement that she gave the child her iPad in October 2025 and confirmed that she took the images and videos of herself.
