Mujer muere baleada en el noreste de Memphis; varios detenidos y una mujer arrestada por agredir a una oficial

(LPL) – Una mujer fue asesinada a tiros la madrugada del miércoles en el área de Nutbush, al noreste de Memphis, según informó el Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD).

La Patrulla de Caminos de Tennessee fue alertada sobre el tiroteo ocurrido en Helsley Road, cerca de Chelsea Avenue, poco después de la 1:30 a.m. Al llegar, los oficiales encontraron a una mujer que había muerto por heridas de bala.

Las autoridades confirmaron que varias personas fueron detenidas en relación con el caso.

Durante el procesamiento de la escena, una mujer ingresó al área restringida y, cuando un oficial intentó retirarla, lo golpeó. La mujer fue arrestada en el lugar.

Además, otro oficial resultó mordido por un perro mientras trabajaba en la escena. Memphis Animal Services acudió al sitio; el agente sufrió lesiones leves y el perro no resultó herido.

Woman Fatally Shot in Northeast Memphis; Several Detained, Officer Assaulted During Investigation

(LPL) – A woman was shot and killed early Wednesday morning in the Nutbush area of northeast Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Police said the Tennessee Highway Patrol was first alerted to the shooting on Helsley Road, just off Chelsea Avenue, shortly after 1:30 a.m. When MPD officers arrived, they found a woman dead from gunshot wounds.

Several individuals have been detained in connection with the shooting, authorities said.

While officers were securing the crime scene, a woman entered the restricted area and refused to leave. Police said that when an officer attempted to escort her away, she punched the officer. The woman was taken into custody.

During the same investigation, another officer was bitten by a dog. Memphis Animal Services responded, and officials confirmed the officer’s injuries were not serious and the dog was unharmed.
