Pam Bondi tras la captura de Maduro: “No es solo narcotraficante, es un monstruo y narcoterrorista”

(LPL/EN) – La fiscal general de Estados Unidos, Pam Bondi, calificó este martes a Nicolás Maduro como “narcoterrorista” y “monstruo” tras su detención el 3 de enero en una operación militar de Washington en Caracas.
Bondi lo acusó de inundar el país con drogas y violencia, afirmando que ahora él y su esposa, Cilia Flores, “rendirán cuentas por sus crímenes” en una corte de Nueva York.
“No es solo un narcotraficante, es un monstruo, un narcoterrorista. Atacaban a la gente, asesinaban, secuestraban, agredían, atacaban a cualquiera que se interpusiera en su camino. Y ya no”, dijo la fiscal en entrevista a FOX news.

La funcionaria defendió las acciones del gobierno de Donald Trump, asegurando que era necesario detener a Maduro para mantener la seguridad nacional.

“No olviden que Maduro vació sus cárceles, vació los manicomios y dejó que esa gente entrara a nuestro país durante la última administración y el presidente Trump lo detuvo”, indicó.
Maduro y su esposa, Cilia Flores, fueron capturados el 3 de enero en una operación militar de Estados Unidos en Caracas y otros tres estados del país. El ataque dejó un saldo oficial de 55 militares venezolanos y cubanos muertos que conformaban su equipo de seguridad.

El dirigente oficialista compareció el lunes ante un tribunal federal de Nueva York, donde se declaró no culpable. “Soy un prisionero de guerra”, dijo durante la audiencia. Flores también se declaró inocente.

La próxima audiencia fue fijada para el 17 de marzo.

El presidente Donald Trump insistió el domingo en que Estados Unidos está “a cargo” de Venezuela y que discute los pasos a seguir con las autoridades venezolanas encabezadas por Delcy Rodríguez.

(LPL/EN) – U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi described Nicolás Maduro as a “narcoterrorist” and a “monster” on Tuesday following his arrest on January 3 in a U.S. military operation in Caracas.
Bondi accused him of flooding the country with drugs and violence, stating that he and his wife, Cilia Flores, will now “be held accountable for their crimes” in a New York court.
“He’s not just a drug trafficker, he’s a monster, a narcoterrorist. They attacked people, they murdered, they kidnapped, they assaulted, they attacked anyone who got in their way. And no more,” the attorney general said in an interview with FOX News.

The official defended the actions of the Donald Trump administration, asserting that it was necessary to apprehend Maduro to maintain national security.

“Don’t forget that Maduro emptied his prisons, emptied the mental institutions, and let those people into our country during the last administration, and President Trump stopped him,” she said.
Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were captured on January 3 in a U.S. military operation in Caracas and three other states of the country. The attack resulted in the official death toll of 55 Venezuelan and Cuban soldiers who made up his security detail.

The ruling party leader appeared before a federal court in New York on Monday, where he pleaded not guilty. “I am a prisoner of war,” he said during the hearing. Flores also pleaded not guilty.

The next hearing was scheduled for March 17.

President Donald Trump insisted on Sunday that the United States is “in charge” of Venezuela and that he is discussing the next steps with Venezuelan authorities led by Delcy Rodríguez.
