Una mujer fue encontrada con heridas de bala en un complejo de apartamentos de Parkway Village

(LPL) – El Departamento de Policía de Memphis investiga un tiroteo ocurrido la madrugada del domingo que dejó a una mujer gravemente herida en un complejo de apartamentos del área de Parkway Village.

De acuerdo con la policía, los agentes respondieron a una llamada por disparos alrededor de la medianoche del 18 de enero en el bloque 4300 de Knight Arnold Road, cerca de Danville Circle. Al llegar al lugar, los oficiales encontraron a una mujer recostada en un sofá con lo que aparentaba ser una herida de bala.

Un testigo informó a la policía que escuchó a la víctima gritar pidiendo ayuda antes de encontrarla. Otro residente señaló que oyó a la mujer tocar una puerta y suplicar auxilio. Según su testimonio, al abrir la puerta la vio subir las escaleras diciendo que le habían disparado y pidiendo ayuda desesperadamente. Un vecino indicó que no escuchó detonaciones.

Elementos de la ATF y de la Guardia Nacional acudieron a la escena y brindaron asistencia médica a la víctima, quien fue trasladada al hospital Regional One en condición crítica.

Hasta el momento, las autoridades no han proporcionado información sobre posibles sospechosos. La investigación continúa.

Woman found shot at Parkway Village apartment complex

(LPL) – The Memphis Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a woman critically injured early Sunday morning at an apartment complex in the Parkway Village area.

According to police, officers responded to a shooting call around midnight on January 18 at the 4300 block of Knight Arnold Road, near Danville Circle. When officers arrived, they found a woman lying on a couch suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

A witness told police he heard the victim screaming for help before finding her. Another resident said he heard the woman knocking on a door and asking for help. When he opened the door, he saw her coming up the stairs, saying she had been shot and pleading for assistance. One neighbor told officers they did not hear any gunshots.

Members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and the National Guard also responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the woman. She was transported to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

No suspect information has been released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
