Joven de 19 años enfrenta cargos de asesinato por tiroteo mortal en Whitehaven

(LPL) – Un joven de 19 años enfrenta cargos de asesinato en relación con un tiroteo ocurrido en noviembre en el área de Whitehaven que dejó una persona fallecida, informó la Policía de Memphis.

De acuerdo con la declaración jurada del caso, el tiroteo ocurrió el 21 de noviembre en un complejo de apartamentos ubicado en la cuadra 4800 de Farris Circle. Cuando los oficiales llegaron al lugar tras recibir una llamada por disparos, encontraron a Travarious Griffin con varias heridas de bala.

Griffin fue trasladado al Regional One Health, donde posteriormente murió debido a las lesiones sufridas.

Durante la investigación, los detectives revisaron videos de vigilancia que mostraban al sospechoso abandonando la escena en un sedán negro con vidrios polarizados y rines negros.

Una testigo dijo a la Policía que se encontraba arreglando el cabello de la víctima antes del ataque y aseguró haber visto a Tyler Siggers, de 19 años, dispararle a Griffin antes de huir del lugar en un Audi negro. La testigo también proporcionó a los investigadores información de las redes sociales de Siggers, donde aparecían fotografías del sospechoso y del vehículo que presuntamente utilizó.

Según los documentos judiciales, la testigo identificó positivamente a Siggers en una rueda de reconocimiento con seis fotografías.

El vehículo del sospechoso fue encontrado posteriormente abandonado a menos de tres millas del lugar del tiroteo.

19-Year-Old Faces Murder Charges in Deadly Whitehaven Shooting

(LPL) – A 19-year-old man faces murder charges in connection with a shooting that occurred in November in the Whitehaven area, leaving one person dead, Memphis Police reported.

According to the case affidavit, the shooting took place on November 21 at an apartment complex in the 4800 block of Farris Circle. When officers arrived at the scene following a report of gunfire, they found Travarious Griffin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Griffin was transported to Regional One Health, where he later died from his injuries.

During the investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance footage showing the suspect fleeing the scene in a black sedan with tinted windows and black rims.

A witness told police she had been styling the victim’s hair prior to the attack and stated she saw 19-year-old Tyler Siggers shoot Griffin before fleeing the scene in a black Audi. The witness also provided investigators with information regarding Siggers’ social media accounts, which featured photos of the suspect and the vehicle he allegedly used.

According to court documents, the witness positively identified Siggers in a six-photo lineup.

The suspect’s vehicle was later found abandoned less than three miles from the scene of the shooting.
