(LPL) – Un hombre y una mujer murieron tras recibir disparos en un aparente caso de homicidio-suicidio ocurrido durante la madrugada del miércoles en el área de Soulsville, en South Memphis, informó el Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD).
Poco antes de las 12:45 a.m., los agentes acudieron a Stephens Place tras recibir un reporte de tiroteo. Al llegar, encontraron a un hombre y una mujer con heridas de bala.
El hombre fue declarado muerto en el lugar. La mujer fue trasladada a un hospital en estado crítico, donde posteriormente falleció.
Durante la investigación, la Policía determinó que, al parecer, el hombre fue quien disparó contra la mujer antes de quitarse la vida, por lo que el caso está siendo tratado como un aparente homicidio-suicidio.
Horas después, los agentes regresaron al vecindario de Soulsville tras recibir un reporte de invasión de vivienda en el bloque 600 de East Trigg Avenue. La Policía no ha indicado si este segundo incidente está relacionado con las muertes.

Apparent murder-suicide leaves two dead in South Memphis
(LPL) – A man and a woman died after being shot in an apparent murder-suicide early Wednesday morning in the Soulsville area of South Memphis, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) reported.
Shortly before 12:45 a.m., officers responded to Stephens Place following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
During the investigation, police determined that the man apparently shot the woman before taking his own life; consequently, the case is being treated as an apparent murder-suicide.
Hours later, officers returned to the Soulsville neighborhood following a report of a home invasion in the 600 block of East Trigg Avenue. Police have not indicated whether this second incident is related to the deaths.
