ICE se metió a una discoteca y arrestó a más de 60 inmigrantes indocumentados, entre ellos líderes de los “Zetas” y del Tren de Aragua

(LPL/UNIVISIÓN) – A las 3:00 de la mañana, del domingo 1 de junio, se llevó a cabo un operativo estatal y federal en la discoteca Álamo, en el condado Charleston, de Carolina del Sur, que derivó en el arresto de 66 inmigrantes indocumentados.

El agente especial Cardell T.Morant, encargado de las operaciones de la Oficina de Investigaciones de Seguridad Nacional (HSI) en Carolina del Norte y Carolina del Sur ofreció detalles del operativo en conferencia de prensa.
Morant confirmó que durante el operativo en Álamo encontraron a 66 personas indocumentadas, de las cuales 5 tenían ofensas serias como agresión a un oficial de policía, resistencia al arresto, posesión de sustancias controladas y posesión de armas por un delincuente convicto. Se encontraron armas y drogas en el lugar y se estaban realizando análisis para detectarlas. También hubo denuncias de tráfico de drogas y lavado de dinero.

Además, informó que uno de los detenidos era buscado por la Interpol, por un homicidio en Honduras.
Durante la conferencia de prensa estuvieron presentes autoridades de la Oficina del Sheriff del condado Charleston, HSI, y la División de Aplicación de la Ley de Carolina del Sur (SLED) quienes enfatizaron que Álamo operaba sin licencia ni regulación.

Se dio a conocer que la investigación comenzó desde noviembre y que tenían preparadas 116 órdenes de arresto previo al operativo.
En total, fueron arrestadas 80 personas, incluyendo a los 66 inmigrantes indocumentados.

Al momento del operativo, en el sitio había más de 200 personas.

Aunque se informó que detuvieron a 2 presuntos miembros de “alto nivel de cárteles”, uno vinculado al cartel de los Zetas y otra a la pandilla del Tren de Aragua, no se aclaró si los detenidos son ciudadanos estadounidenses o son inmigrantes.
En la discoteca Álamo había 10 menores de edad, de los cuales el más joven tiene 13 años.

Las autoridades indicaron que entre los menores se encontraba una persona reportada como desaparecida.
Sobre ese caso, se dio a conocer que están investigando la razón por lo que el menor se encontraba en Álamo.

(LPL/UNIVISIÓN) – At 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, a state and federal operation was conducted at the Álamo nightclub in Charleston County, South Carolina, resulting in the arrest of 66 undocumented immigrants.

Special Agent Cardell T. Morant, in charge of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) operations in North and South Carolina, provided details of the operation at a press conference.
Morant confirmed that during the operation at Álamo, they encountered 66 undocumented individuals, five of whom had serious offenses such as assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Weapons and drugs were found at the scene and are being tested for them. There were also reports of drug trafficking and money laundering.

He also reported that one of the detainees was wanted by Interpol for a homicide in Honduras. During the press conference, authorities from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, HSI, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) were present, emphasizing that Álamo was operating without a license or regulation.

Regarding that case, it was announced that they are investigating why the minor was in Álamo.
