Trump amenaza con destruir Irán “en una noche” si no se abre el estrecho de Ormuz

(LPL/NBC) – El presidente, Donald Trump, amenazó este lunes con “destruir todo el país” de Irán, horas antes de que venza su ultimátum al régimen para reabrir el estrecho de Ormuz, la ruta marítima clave para el transporte global de petróleo cuyo bloqueo sigue disparando los precios del combustible en Estados Unidos.

“Todo el país [de Irán] puede ser destruido en una sola noche, y esa noche podría ser mañana”, dijo el mandatario esta tarde durante una conferencia de prensa en la Casa Blanca.

El mandatario ha dicho que su fecha límite del martes a las 8:00 pm (hora del Este) para que Irán reabra el estrecho de Ormuz es “impostergable”, y ha amenazado con la destrucción generalizada de la infraestructura energética del país.

The first pilot was rescued shortly after the fighter jet was shot down. The second aviator, Trump said, landed a “considerable distance” from his comrade, and it took U.S. Army personnel approximately 48 hours to reach the area and rescue him.

“He was quite seriously injured and stranded in an area teeming with terrorists from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—a violent group—as well as military personnel, militias, and local authorities who were harassing him,” the President detailed. Trump asserted that the Iranian regime offered local inhabitants “a massive incentive to find this pilot.”

“Despite the danger, the officer followed his training, ventured into treacherous mountain terrain, and began ascending to a higher altitude—a tactic they were trained to employ in order to evade capture,” he recounted.

Trump added that the airman scaled cliffs while “bleeding profusely,” and that he tended to his own wounds. The soldier, he continued, “made contact with U.S. forces to report his location” using what the Republican described as a “very sophisticated locator-type device” which, according to him, “saved his life.”
“We immediately mobilized a massive operation to rescue him from his mountain hideout,” Trump added.

The rescue operation involved 155 aircraft, including four bombers, 64 fighter jets, 48 ​​tanker aircraft, and 13 rescue planes.
